Chirk AAA's season got underway with a 2-0 away win over neighbours Acrefair. Chirk led 1-0 at half time courtesy of a Anthony Jones strike. The visitors increased their lead in the second half through a Gareth Roberts goal, his first for Chirk since returning home from Cefn United. Chirk will be pleased to record a win in their opening fixture.

On Wednesday evening they face Cefn United at Holyhead Road in what promises to be a hot blooded local 'derby'. 6.30 pm KO.
