Chirk recorded their first win since August with a commanding display over Coedpoeth. Stand-in manager Dudley Hall took charge of the side getting off to a winning ways after former manager Alan Reeves decided to step aside due to work commitments. Chirk striker Joe Roberts looked to have scored the first goal of the game after 5 minutes with the youngster racing through the visiting defence before firing a low shot on goal which was hacked off the line by defender Hughes with keeper Whitley stranded. Chirk did not have long to wait though scoring their first on 10 minutes courtesy of a 30 yard looping shot from midfielder Evans. Chirk's Mike Nash donned the goalkeepers gloves and was rarely troubled with the Chirk back four of Nash, Jones, Evans, and Hughes stopping Coedpoeth's attacks in their tracks. Keeper Nash was called into action on 35 minutes to deny forward Davies who tried to lob him from close range, with Nash just managing to reach the ball from going over his head. Coedpoeths Strafford set up a chance for forward Davies minutes later with his effort flying wide of the post.
Second half saw Chirk extend their lead with Joe Roberts adding a second goal after good link-up play between himself and Roberts. Coedpoeths Dion Jones should of done better at the other end after a goalmouth scramble saw him head against the bar from two yards out amidst a cluster of players. Chirk's third goal came on 75 minutes off a fine strike from forward Gareth Roberts whose shot arched upwards into the top corner of the net from ten yards outs. Chirk had to withstand some late Coedpoeth pressure in the closing minutes of time but stood firm to notch their first win in 10 games.
