Hawarden Rangers 4-3 Chirk AAA
Chirk slipped to their fifth consecutive defeat when they travelled to fourth
placed Hawarden Rangers. Chirk's goalscorers were Gareth Roberts who has now
scored eight goals in nine games, Andrew Roberts and new signing and man of the
match Matthew Evans. Chirk have now slipped to ninth in the table.
Next week Chirk travel to fifth placed Rhos Aelwyd, this will be their second
visit to Poncieu Banks within the space of a fortnight.
W.N.L. Division Two
Chirk Reserves 5-2 Caergwrle Castle
Chirk reserves maintain top spot in Division Three after another spirited
performance. Visitors Caergwrle were no match for the home side who have hit 11
goals in their last two matches. Netting for Chirk were Ben Humphrey's, Justin
Jones and hatrick hero Jonathon Owen.
Next week the reserves have had their game called off due to their involvement
in the second round of the Welsh Youth Cup. They travel to face Welsh Premier
Club Rhyl U'19's on Sunday 29th October. The club are running a bus which will
leave the clubhouse at 11.00am. Chirk disposed of Welsh Premier Club side
Connah's Quay Nomads in the previous round beating them 5-0 at Holyhead Road.
