Chirk AAA 2-1 Brynteg Village.
Chirk earned three voluble points over second from bottom side Brynteg Village. This was a game that Chirk had to win to pull themselves away from the relegation zone. The visitors cause wasn't helped after they had a man sent off for violent conduct. Chirk missed a host of chances up front and were rocked when Brynteg took the lead on 25 minutes. Chirk responded through Anthony Jones who levelled things just before half time. Chirk continued to carve out chances but through slack finishing had nothing to show for it. Chirk midfielder Paul Douglas Jones ran half the length of the pitch, beating five players only to see his shot saved by the keeper, with Anthony Jones on hand to tuck the rebound into the net and seal the game for Chirk.
Next week Chirk are at home against Corwen, 2.00pm Ko.

Chirk AAA 2-2 Newtown (AET- Chirk win 5-4 on pels)
Chirk's youngsters continued their good run by beating academy side Newtown. The visitors opened the scoring on 20 minutes after Seliaerts pass found Rowlands in front of goal, whose first effort was saved by keeper Griffiths, with Rowlands tucking away the loose ball. Chirk upped the tempo of the match and levelled through a 30 yard strike from midfielder Matty Evans which left Newtown keeper Rees for dead. Second half saw Chirk dictating things with both Bishop and Roberts going close while Griffiths saved well from Rowlands at the other end. Chirk took the lead on 55 minutes after Roberts slotted in Bishop who fired past the advancing Rees from 15 yards to give his side the lead. Chirk found themselves down to ten men 10 minutes later after Roberts was sent off for dissent by referee S Gardner after appealing for a penalty. Despite being a man down Chirk continued to boss things against a lack lustre Newtown side. The visitors scored their second goal on 80 minutes after a Rowlands free kick was tucked home from five yards by the unmarked James Turner.
In the first period of extra time Chirk's Hughes headed against the post and Newtowns' Jones saw an effort saved by Griffiths. Dean Riley was unlucky in the second period after cutting in from the right and shooting only to see his effort hit the post.
The referee blew for penalties with Chirk keeper Griffiths saving the first of Newtown's. All the Chirk players converted theirs with Chris Hughes spot kick sending Chirk into the hat for the last sixteen.
