Chirk and Llangollen fought out a 3-3 draw in this 'derby' encounter at Holyhead Road. Chirk were rocked when the visitors scored two early goals within the first four minutes through Llangollen striker Gareth Lloyd. Chirk were back on level terms scoring a goal either side of the interval, the in-form Gareth Roberts scored the first with the second coming courtesy of Llangollen's Mark Tobin who put past his own keeper. Llangollen looked to have sealed all three points when forward John Dean put them back in front on 77 minutes. Chirk were far from beaten though and with the game in injury time Chirk midfielder Paul Douglas Jones put the ball past Roberts in the Llangollen goal to snatch a point for his side.
